Cold, long, and over more ice than feels necessary. At 32.5% this is softer than straight bourbon and the flavour does the work, which means it needs a mixer with some acidity to keep it from turning into cordial. Chill the bottle: at room temperature the sweetness sits on top and the bourbon underneath disappears entirely.

Neat and warm, none of the flavoured range is much good, and this one is no exception. If you want something to sip, the straight bottles on the Jim Beam range are where to spend the money instead.
