- Taste
- Sweet floral notes of honey marry into the bold liqueur.
- Finish
- Mellow, warm and smooth.
How to Drink Jim Beam Honey 750ml
Cold, long, and over more ice than feels necessary. At 32.5% this is softer than straight bourbon and the flavour does the work, which means it needs a mixer with some acidity to keep it from turning into cordial. Chill the bottle: at room temperature the sweetness sits on top and the bourbon underneath disappears entirely.
Thirty millilitres to a hundred and fifty of mixer is the right ratio. A heavier pour does not make a better drink here, it makes a syrupy one. Serving suggestions for this particular flavour are on the Jim Beam Honey page.
Neat and warm, none of the flavoured range is much good, and this one is no exception. If you want something to sip, the straight bottles on the Jim Beam range are where to spend the money instead.
Jim Beam Honey 750ml Price: What It Costs Per Drink
A 750ml bottle at 32.5% holds about 19.2 standard drinks. At $54.60 that is roughly $2.84 per standard drink, or $72.80 per litre of whiskey.
That is not the cheapest way to buy it. Jim Beam Honey Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey works out to $72.79 per litre against $72.80 here, so if you only care about the price of the whiskey, buy that instead. Buy this size because you want this bottle.
The matched shelf price at the major chains when we set ours was $55.99. Ours is $54.60.
Jim Beam Honey 750ml in Australia: Availability
Current production and locally distributed, so this is a line we restock rather than a one-off. Held in our Sydney warehouse and dispatched the same business day on orders placed before 3pm AEST.
Australian allocation of some Jim Beam lines is thinner than people expect, and a bottle vanishing from a local bottle shop usually means that retailer stopped ranging it rather than that it was discontinued. We wrote about what actually happens to Jim Beam bottles in Australia if you have been hunting for something.
The rest of the range is on the Jim Beam Honey page.
Where Jim Beam Honey 750ml Sits in the Jim Beam Range
This bottle sits in the Jim Beam Honey part of the range, and in the 750ml format alongside everything else on the Jim Beam 700ml page. Both pages carry the full context: what else is in the range, how the bottlings differ, and which one suits what you are actually doing with it.
The nearest alternatives we hold are Jim Beam Honey Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. If you are choosing between them, the deciding factor is usually strength and format rather than the whiskey itself.
