About Jim Beam 1795
James B Beam 1795, a Limited Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, celebrating the beginning of Jim Beam's legacy. In 1795 Jacob Beam sold his first batch of 'Old Jake Beam' Corn Whiskey. In 1795 pioneer Jacob Beam created his first barrels of 'Old Jake' corn whiskey. It was made from 8 Year Old bourbon sourced from the top floor of a selected five-floor rack house, bottled at 95 Proof and released in 2011.
Jim Beam 1795: Condition and What You Are Buying
This is a single piece and it cannot be restocked. Before listing we measure the fill level against the shoulder of the bottle, check the seal and closure for leakage or replacement, and record the condition of the label and the original box where one survived. Faults are photographed rather than shot around.
It is drinkable whiskey, seal permitting. Spirits do not improve in the bottle but they do not deteriorate either, so a sealed piece stored upright and out of sunlight is much the same as the day it was filled. Opening it costs most of the resale value, which is worth thinking about first.
Packed double boxed, braced at the shoulders and laid down rather than shipped standing. More on how we grade is on the collectables page.
Jim Beam 1795 Price: What It Costs Per Drink
A 700ml bottle at 47.5% holds about 26.2 standard drinks. At $859.00 that is roughly $32.79 per standard drink, or $1,227.14 per litre of whiskey.
That is not the cheapest way to buy it. Jim Beam 31st Convention 2001 Indianapolis Limited Edition works out to $425.33 per litre against $1,227.14 here, so if you only care about the price of the whiskey, buy that instead. Buy this size because you want this bottle.
Is Jim Beam 1795 Still Available?
Out of production. Ceramic decanters were made for Jim Beam by Regal China until 1992 and the commemorative and limited bottlings alongside them were one-off runs, so there is no supply chain behind this listing. There is one piece, and when it sells there will not be another the same.
We leave sold listings up rather than deleting them, so you can see what has come through and what it went for. That is genuinely useful if you are valuing your own collection, and there is nowhere else in Australia publishing it.
If you are chasing something specific we do not have, tell us through the contact page and we will let you know when one turns up.
Where Jim Beam 1795 Sits in the Jim Beam Range
This bottle sits in the Jim Beam Collectables and Decanters part of the range, and in the 700ml format alongside everything else on the Jim Beam 700ml page. Both pages carry the full context: what else is in the range, how the bottlings differ, and which one suits what you are actually doing with it.
The nearest alternatives we hold are Jim Beam Racing Car 2007 Limited Edition with Tin, Jim Beam Beam's Pin Bottle 1970s and Jim Beam Racing Car 2008 Limited Edition with Tin. If you are choosing between them, the deciding factor is usually strength and format rather than the whiskey itself.
The whole catalogue is on the shop page, which lists all 71 products with filters for size, style and price.
